About the Area

Living up to its name and hidden away in Victoria's high country, the natural beauty of Mount Beauty and surrounds will take your breath away.

Enjoy the relaxed country living, friendly locals and a number of boutique shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes in the region.

With a childcare centre and kindergarten, two primary schools, a secondary college, medical centre and hospital, and a wide variety of professional services and trades, the Upper Kiewa Valley is the ideal place to raise a family, and simply enjoy everything you need right at your doorstep. It’s work and life balance at its best, with plenty of adventure each and every way you look.

Mount Beauty, Tawonga South and Tawonga are a popular base for outdoor activities, from downhill mountain bike riding for the adrenaline seekers to a peaceful game of golf, or enjoy swimming and fishing in the Mount Beauty Pondage and clear mountain rivers.

Bogong Alpine Village, just a short drive away and roughly half way in between Mount Beauty and Falls Creek, is a lovely little village that’s perfect for a day trip with family and friends. Like Mount Beauty, it has its own pondage for fishing and boating. It also has a number of beautiful picnic grounds and walks.

The Kiewa Valley is located at the base of Falls Creek, Australia's premier alpine village for the ski and snowboard enthusiasts in winter, and the perfect place to enjoy bushwalking or mountain bike riding in summer while taking in the views of the stunning mountain surroundings.
